My favorite instructor did not think I could do it


I have been noticing that some of my homies have second guessed themselves. Sold themselves short. They have made comments like ‘I’m not as good at xyz’. Or ‘I’m not an inspiration’. 

That negative self talk is simply not true. We have programmed ourselves to think those negative thoughts over the years. What if we just decided to stop that right now?  Because guess what….  It is possible. You can change your mindset at any time. If you want to, that is. Does it take a consicous effort?  Sure. 

We tell our children when they are little: ‘you can be anything you want to be’. We should take our own advice. And be what WE want to be!! 

I don’t think my most favorite Zumba instructor thought I could be a dance fitness instructor because when she was leaving (moving to another city) she looked around the class and pointed out the people who would be good at it and I was NOT one of them.   I was at ALL of her classes. Dragging my kids all the way downtown and leaving them at childcare. Sometimes I’d be the only one in attendance. I was totally dedicated. I did not let that stop me. I also did not let the fact that I’m an introvert discourage me.  

After becoming a dance fitness instructor I did not stop there. I’m now a Beachbody coach helping to empower women to become the best versions of themselves. Also a licensed Piyo live fitness instructor.
