A lot of times in my groups I ask people ‘what are your personal goals?’ Quite frequently, I get the answer ‘I want to be happy’. Seems simple enough right?
What does it really mean to be happy? How do you be happy? I think it really boils down to analyzing what your priorities are and spending time on those priorities.
If you take a look at the list in the photograph (they are not ordered with any less or more importance), assign a rank on each one of these on the list. 1 being least important and 10 being most important to you.
So once you’ve given each one a weighted importance to you then think about if you are feeling fulfilled in that category? Is there room for improvement? Rank it 1 to 10.
Once you have those 2 scores then you know where you should spend your time because you know what is important to you AND you know what needs your attention.
Then make a list of the specific things that you will do to improve your scores in the top 3 areas.
