I just crushed an intense 25 minute (fasted) workout with my buddy, Amber. She’s been sick for about a week so it was good to catch up with her. She told me a couple of her goals for 2018 and I’m excited for her! I can’t wait to follow her journey and see where it leads her.
My teammates and I are making a Spotify playlist to get PUMPED up! It’s fun to collaborate with other peeps. Got any good songs that you like that really get you excited? I love hearing new music.
On the food side of things, my hubs and I are still rocking it. Made a HUGE salad so that he can grab and go for work all week long. We have broccoli, cauliflower, carrots, peppers, spinach, romaine, cucumbers and then we can add nuts, balsamic vinegar, olive oil and olives. It’s SO easy. If you aren’t prepping a big bowl of veggies like this, you should try it. You’re more likely to grab it if it’s already done! Do it right away when you get home from the grocery store. Don’t wait!
I just finished up my book Present over Perfect. It was pretty good. A nice reminder to be in the moment and keep things simple. We just cleaned out a closet the other day, in preparation to get rid of more STUFF. I feel like when my house is cluttered up, it clutters my mind. Last year I got rid of 30 bags in 30 days. Gave 3 HUGE bins of stuff to a women’s shelter and the rest to Savers. I’m also going to make a huge effort this year to analyze everything I purchase, in an effort to buy less.
So my next book is Miracles Now… I’m only a little ways into it but I can say that I’m LOVING it so far. Actionable steps to take that are short and sweet. No long, drawn out explanations. She gets to the point right away. Good stuff.
