Today’s live workout with our trainer was in a word: bananas. The stuff he asks us to do is a total MIND GAME! I know why he’s doing it. He’s trying to make our minds stronger as well as our bodies. When he first told us what we were going to do I was like “ohhhh hellllll no. Nope!” But he started the timer and we got to work. No thinking, just doing. It’s true, we can talk ourselves out of ANYTHING if we think about it too much. So yeah, we just did 20 minutes of FULL out burpees… As in chest to the floor and a jump at the top. PHEW. Talk about tough! Of course, I had to modify and step back and do a push up on my knees… But that is OK!
After we did our 20 minutes of burpees we did a 15 minute ab workout. My hip flexors are so sore but pushed through it anyways…. We got this done before 830 AM today. Oh and, by the way, Amber worked ALL night long before we tackled this. No excuses. She’s awesome. Way awesomer (yeah, it’s a word) than I am.
Oh and look at Chris (the trainer)… doesn’t he look happy about this? Geeeeeezz! What a stinker!
I was talking with another awesome person who is in my group last night about some of the cravings I have had…. Kinda weird stuff… Popcorn sounds oh-so-good, beer or whiskey, and of course, I could go for some pizza. When we are done with this 12 weeks I will have those things but it certainly won’t be every day!
