HFLC Day 50 of 84

You know I wasn’t supposed to OFFICIALLY measure today but I thought “what the heck, it’s day 50, why not!!!”  So I grabbed my trusty measuring tape and saw this!  You could say I’m pretty happy and I’m gonna look and feel bangin’ in my bikini in Mexico.  

Sometimes people get frustrated because they live and die by the scale…  But here is the deal, muscle does NOT weigh more than fat, it’s just more compact.  Like if you had a TON of feathers and a TON of bricks, what weighs more?  Neither, they are both a TON.  See what I mean?

My team buddies and I started a NEW workout program today but we will continue eating the SAME as we have for the past 7 weeks.  Higher fat, lower carb, moderate protein plus intermittent fasting.  WHY?  Because it works!  NO!!!  It is not KETO.  People ask me that a lot and I totally get why they do, it’s confusing.  But here is why I don’t want to do KETO…

  1. It’s very hard to sustain for life
  2. Keto puts protein as more important that vegetables
  3. The carb macro is so low it’s very difficult to achieve
  4. If you eat TOO MUCH protein your body will convert that to glucose

My goal is to find something that works for the long term.  Not something I’ll do for a few days or weeks and then quit because it’s too hard.  Know what I mean?
