HFLC Day 52 of 84

Give yourself a day to be sad and then move on.  It is a life motto.  It was a total shame speed bump and I was REALLY happy to have my online group peeps to keep me in line.  It’s really easy to go down a slippery slope path of darkness sometimes.  But you cannot let that happen.  Brush yourself off and pick yourself back up.  Am I right?!

I did a booty workout with resistance loops and those things add a new complexity to some challenging moves.  But you know, the burn only lasts for a bit and then it is gone.  So why not go for it!  I was in a fasted state for my workout which is PERFECt and what I like to do.  Right after I workout I eat my first meal at about noon.

Today I added some homemade pesto to my cauliflower rice and red peppers.  Not pictured are the 3 eggs I ate too.

Making your own pesto is not as hard as you might think. It actually used to intimidate me a little bit too.

I used:

  • pine nuts
  • olive oil
  • one bunch of fresh spinach
  • one bunch of fresh basil
  • salt, pepper, roasted garlic cloves

(you could add cheese too but I’m not eating cheese right now for this experiment.)

I put all of that in the food processor and boom done. And you can freeze it. Better to make your own because sometimes the store bought kind has canola or vegetable oil in it.
